Worth it If he doesn't remember?

Blog

In November of 2013, I took my dad to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, as a birthday present to him. It was the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. Dad had never been to Gettysburg.

Beautiful. And worth it. Because at a fundamental level you didn't do it for your dad, you did it for you. And you remember. When you no longer remember it, then it won't be important as such. It won't be a loss if you don't realize you've lost it, just like your dad doesn't. He's blessed to have such a daughter.
