I can say with full certainty that the response I received from this tweet was completely and totally unexpected:
Yes, I'm the one who fixed my react issues by using jquery. Yes, I'm the one who currently loathes react with a level I usually hold for only Java. Yes, I managed to do in 2 days with jquery what I spent 3 weeks fighting with react-redux-and-that-whole-ecosystem without success.
I have exactly zero shame for using jquery to get the project into my client's hands. They are able to test, and I am able to move away from that development hell.
The only good thing I've had come from this whole react experience has been webpack. That'll be a book.
