Chookie's Pizza Dough

  • 14 7/8 oz white flour
  • 7 oz water
  • 1 3/4 oz olive oil
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 4.5 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary (or any other herb, optional)


Mix all the ingredients (including the yeast).

Put it on the dough hook for 2 minutes at a speed of 2.

Once you have consistent dough, make it into a ball, cover it in a little bit of olive oil AND put it in a bowl that has also been lightly coated with olive oil. This prevents it from sticking and keeps it moist.

Cover with a towel and let it rise for at least two hours. Makes two thin crust pizzas or one deep dish.

Pre-heat the pizza stone in the oven for a solid 30 to 45 minutes. Set the oven as high as it will go. We've gotten good results at 525 to 550 F.
